Albert Einstein

Albert Einstein is one of the most famous scientists of the 20th century.
Einstein was born on March 14, 1879 in Ulm, Germany around 11:30 am.
Winner of the 1921 Nobel Peace Prize for his work on the
photoelectric effect,
Albert Einstein was best known for his Theory of Relativity and
especially the formula E=MC2.

The photoelectric effect is also known as the Hertz effect, though this term has fallen out of use. The photoelectric effect is when electromagnetic radiation is exposed to a metallic surface and photons are absorbed and current is produced. In 1915, Robert Andrews Millikan showed through his experiments that Einstein was correct.
In 1905, Albert Einstein wrote a paper entitled, "On the Electrodynamics of Moving Bodies" that lay out his special theory of relativity. The Theory of Relativity included time, distance, energy and mass and included electromagnetism, excluding gravity.
For his time, Albert Einstein was a social activist, giving speeches promoting pacifism and liberalism. In a sad irony, Einstein's theories were later used for military applications to produce both atomic and hydrogen bombs. One of Albert Einstein's most famous quotes is "I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones." Albert Einstein died April 18, 1955 in Princeton, New Jersey.
Rumor Has It …
Rumor has it that Albert Einstein had a half-brother Fred who liked to wear women's clothes and call himself Angie and the speakeasies of the Roaring 20's. Fred also lost his front teeth in a bizarre accident involving a flying duck, then joined the circus as both a fire-eater and elephant poop evacuator.
There are many rumors surrounding Albert Einstein as well such as he preferred to walk like a duck in order to try to cure a case of walking pigeon-toed as he did since he was a child. Another rumor is that Albert liked to talk in Pig-Latin with his meetings with the Pope. And, a third unsubstantiated rumor, that is totally innuendo and most likely false is that Albert Einstein had a fascination with a like to spank ponies.

Alexander Graham Bell

Alexander Graham Bell is generally credited in the U. S. with being the inventor of the telephone although this claim has been controversial lately since there are also claims that Antonio Meucci or Elisha Gray were the real first inventors. Alexander Graham Bell was born in Edinburg, Scotland on March 3, 1847.

In 1882, Alexander Graham Bell became a naturalized citizen of the United States. Besides his contributions to telecommunications technology, Bell also contributed to aviation and hydrofoil technology as well.
Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone in 1875, and on March 7, 1876 the U. S. Patent Office granted Bell Patent Number 174,465 regarding the telephone. Bell was not the first, however to invent of apply for a patent for the telephone. Antonio Meucci invented the first telephone in 1871 and in fact, sued Alexander Graham Bell for infringement.
But since Meucci was too poor to hire a lawyer and in declining health and ended up losing the court case. Elisha Gray also filed for a patent for the telephone literally hours after Alexander Graham Bell submitted his patent application. Bell fought off several lawsuits, refined his invention and in 1877 the Bell Telephone Company was formed.
By 1886, Bell had sold 150,000 telephones in the U. S. Alexander Graham Bell continued to invent even when becoming a millionaire off the sales from telephones. He invented a device that would transmit sound using light, which was a precursor to today's fiber optic systems and called the device the photophone.
Alexander Graham Bell also invented the metal detector in a hurried fashion in order to try to find a bullet inside of President James Garfield. Bell also went on to work on various inventions for sky and sea such as tetrahedral kites and hydrofoil watercraft.
Rumor has it …
Rumor has it that Alexander Graham Bell set a world water speed record at the age of seventy-two by riding a pair of trained dolphins, which jumped a shark cage in those olden, yet happy days.
In an unsubstantiated and totally flawed rumor, Alexander Graham Bell went on to invent an early precursor to the Android phone along with the bean and cheese burrito and had a partial interest in an restaurant chain owned by William Taco, which has hence been known as Taco Bell.

Isaac Newton

Isaac Newton

Sir Isaac Newton is generally regarded as one of the greatest and most famous scientists in history. Newton was an astronomer, physicist, mathematician and philosopher who is known for theorizing and reporting on gravitational force and the three laws of motion.

Isaac Newton discovered that white light is made up of a spectrum of colors, that when blended together produce the white light. He showed by use of a prism that white light can be split into a spectrum of colors and then used a second prism to show this spectrum can then be rejoined to produce white light. Newton also theorized that light was composed of particles but had to associate the property of light with waves in order to explain refraction of light.
Isaac Newton focused much of his work on the theory of gravitation force and its effect on the orbit of the planets. In his work known as "Principia," he also presented the speed of sound.
Gottfried Leibniz and Isaac Newton developed calculus independently from one another, with Newton being credited as the first to come up with the mathematical system and Leibniz the first to publish the system. Newton said he was reluctant to publish his calculus at the time for fear of being mocked.
As much as a scientist as Isaac Newton, he was also a devote Christian and alchemist and spent more time and energy in these two endeavors that he spent on traditional science and mathematics. Newton wrote more on Christianity than about any other subject.
Sir Isaac Newton was born in Lincolnshire, England, on January 4, 1642, which at that time was Christmas Day because they were using the Gregorian calendar. Newton died on March 31, 1727 in London, England.
Rumor Has It …
Rumor has it that Sir Isaac Newton was named after a popular fig treat at the time. This popular fig treat was made up of figs, catnip and medicinal marijuana, which helped the aging scientist and mathematician with his glaucoma.
In a total useless, trident and downright woefully false account written by one of Newton's jealous colleagues, it was reported that the famed scientist used to bite sheep upon the fanny after having one too many drinks at the local London pub.
